Kitchen redesign, removing awkward pantry and replacing kitchen units
This kitchen project was for the client's personal benefit and not for selling purposes. The kitchen was cramped with a pantry in the corner taking up much of the space. The cupboards were dated and the client wanted to replace them so the whole kitchen was redesigned.
The pantry was taken out completely. This balanced the eyeline of the facing kitchen wall, which was previously small and cramped. The space now features a cooking alcove and the sink beneath the picture window.
The wooden units were chosen to give the room a lighter more modern feel, and the fixtures and fittings coordinate with the appliances.
A small dining area was arranged at one end of the kitchen as the client had no previous seating for dining. This area was carpeted and subtle lighting added to create the right ambience and distinguish the area from the rest of the kitchen.
Neutral tiling was chosen for the rest of the kitchen floor as this is more practical and hygenic.
The window was dressed in a simple check fabric adding a little contrast colour to the room. The accessories were chosen to compliment this colour.
